Two Detroit Nonprofits Receive Economic Grants

According to Detroit Free Press, two Detroit area nonprofits Automation Alley and TechTown have received funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. 

Two metro Detroit entities — Automation Alley in Troy and TechTown in Detroit — are among 50 recipients of funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

Tech nonprofit Mohuman wants to bridge the digital divide, reports San Diego Union Tribune. 

Nishal Mohan’s parents struggled and worked in their village in Guyana until he was 8 years old, later applying to become teachers in the Bahamas, where they moved with a few suitcases and a few hundred dollars.
