Association of Fundraising Professionals Launches New Website

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is proud to announce a new website:www.afpglobal.org.

AFP partnered with Message Agency, a Philadelphia-based digital agency specializing in work with nonprofits, foundations, universities, governments, and social enterprises, in developing a new site that will serve as the catalyst for the Association’s communications, education, and outreach efforts to the fundraising profession and the general public.

“The new afpglobal.org website allows AFP to better serve the fundraising profession with an entirely new scope, reach, and dynamic,” said Mike Geiger, MBA, CPA, president and CEO of AFP. “While the site is designed as a ‘one-stop shop’ for all the skills, ethical standards, knowledge and best practices a fundraiser needs, the site will also serve as the central virtual hub of the fundraising community, connecting members through online forums, educating through video clips and other materials, launching new initiatives to advance philanthropy, and educating elected officials and the public about the importance of fundraising.”

Geiger also noted that the new website will play a key role in telling the story about the impact that fundraising has on the world. “Fundraising is much more than just raising funds—it’s about bringing people together and inspiring them to action around a cause that changes people’s lives and strengthens our communities,” said Geiger. “The new afpglobal.org site will spotlight all the work that fundraisers—and our partners, such as donors, volunteers and others—do and the positive and meaningful impact we create by working together. That’s why fundraising is the IMPACT profession.”

Message Agency, which specializes in Drupal sites, worked closely with AFP in developing the new website and devoted its significant expertise to creating an open, inviting, and seamless community environment for the fundraising profession.

“I can’t say enough about Message Agency and their efforts on our new website,” said Geiger. “They were so dedicated to our mission, worked hard to understand our needs, led us through a thoughtful development process and came through with a site that was on time and on-budget. I’m so appreciative of Marcus Iannozzi, the founder and principle of the agency, and all of his staff for their willingness to believe in our vision of creating a website that would truly advance the fundraising profession and capture the impact that we help make every day.”

AFP encourages the media and the public to visit the new site at www.afpglobal.org.
